Anne Crile
Hi there,
There might be all sorts of reasons you’ve landed here.
Perhaps you’re feeling overwhelmed – relationships, work, school, family, the world around us – it’s all a lot.
Maybe what once felt loving and connecting between you and your partner now feels painful and distant, and you’re searching for a way back to one another.
Possibly, you’ve come to know how precious health is and how seemingly all corners of life can be upended when it changes.
Maybe it’s a little of all of these or something you just can’t put your finger on.
Whatever the reason, I’m so glad you’re here. Often the most painful parts of our lives can be the loneliest. I believe therapy should be a place that helps undo that aloneness. It is my hope that together we can tend to those tender parts, strengthen the places that feel broken, and connect to what is strong and resilient inside.
Anne
I help couples & individuals facing serious, life-changing health conditions & loss; women contending with overwhelming work, family, or personal pressure; and couples wanting to strengthen & repair their connection.
You may be curious to learn a little more about me and how I practice:
I am a California, Arizona & Iowa licensed marriage and family therapist (CA #86294 | AZ #15639 | IA #126195) with nearly two decades of experience helping those who are grieving and more than a decade practicing as a therapist. My work with clients is informed by what we’ve learned about resilience, human connection, emotion, and the relationship between them. I am a certified Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) therapist & supervisor and have advanced training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). I specialize in working with couples and individuals navigating life-altering medical conditions and loss; women overwhelmed in the face of work, family, and personal pressure; and couples struggling to create or restore fulfilling connection.
Services
Couple Therapy
Our most important relationships often stir our biggest emotions – joy, delight, surprise, curiosity, and love when we feel connected…or pain, fear, sadness, grief, and shame when we do not. Sometimes, the ways we’ve learned to cope with the pain of disconnection can move us even further away from our partner instead of closer. I help couples slow down and unpack these moments of disconnection & pain to repair and strengthen intimacy & closeness.
Individual Therapy
You don’t have to face this on your own. We all need a place we know we can go for support when life gets painful or overwhelming, a place where we can get help to get unstuck. Therapy can be one of those places. Together, we can face and unpack what feels insurmountable right now and find our way back to you feeling anchored & strong.
Supervision/Consultation
Our work as therapists is too important to go it alone or stop growing. I am passionate about helping colleagues not only stretch and challenge themselves but also recognize their unique strengths and abilities as a therapist. I offer consultation and supervision to therapists wanting to develop or sharpen their clinical skill from an EFT and AEDP framework and/or strengthen their work with clients facing life-altering medical news.
